oohh aaahhh oohh ahhh

I got a blogger award, I got a blogger award, I got a blogger award, I got a blogger award!

not as excited as I thought I would be....however a friend of mine Emily nominated me so here goes nothing.

1) I love decorating. I feel my house is finally coming together!

2) we are almost debt free! Words will not be able to express how relieved I will feel once we no longer have any debt. I love getting on "we're debt free" boards and seeing what others are doing as well. Gives me ideas/tips!

3)I love my kiddos! They mean everything to me. If Mr would let me I would have 3 more of them! =)

4) scrapbooking is my stress reliever.

5) we just got an English Bulldog and he is probably the cutest thing ever. (but I didn't say that.)

6) I've never picked out my own animal before. Jake picked out Beau & Tater. I guess the only dog I've ever picked out when we were growing up was our collie Roxy and that was ONLY because she was going to be euthanized later that day and I couldn't do that.

7) I love watching all the Disney movies just as much as T does!

I'm suppose to pick 15 blogs, but I'm gonna go with 5. oh well.

MORE $$$$$$

4) Do you have a service oriented tattoo and if so what is it. If you don't what would you get?
I do. I have an anchor on my lower arm with rope wrapped around it and than the rope spells out love.
i love it.
5) Imagine a block of time has opened up in your busy day for you to take a class in anything you like. What subject would you choose?
Something on home decorating, religion, or current world happenings.

WILW

I am loving that Jake gets home tomorrow afternoon! I miss him so much (only to have him leave again for a week Friday morning) but whatever I get a night with him!
I am loving that my house is completely packed (except the laundry room, bathroom, & garage) BUT there is nothing hanging on the walls, every room is empty. =( at least I don't have to do it later, cause it's all done now!
I am loving that in about 2 hours Mrs Megan and her 2 precious daughters are coming over for a playdate.
I am loving that tomorrow we are going to Mrs Amber's for a playdate! and to eat some of her good cooking!
I am loving that Friday Mrs Hollyann is coming over for a playdate! (can't you tell I'm trying to keep busy!)
I am also loving that Miss S is starting to talk a lot more

eekkk fairy doors!!

Okay, so I have just been so darn excited the last few days!!!! Ya wanna know? huh, huh? do ya?
okay well, I came across this blog the other day and I said to myself "huh, what's a fairy door" and curiosity got the best of me and I googled it. http://www.urban-fairies.com/ this is what I came up with!!!! Isn't it awesome!!!?! I love mythology and magic. I mean I know there's not a Santa Clause any longer (gasp!) but I melt over anything that could get some one's imagination a going. Plus who doesn't want to believe in fairies!

So for the past few days I have been on the hunt for some fairy doors. One for S's room definitely, but maybe T's too. The Mr says no way is T having a fairy door, but I'd man it out for him. I mean no fairy dust or anything sparkly. T is at the age where he's just starting to understand and get excited about these things. Like tonight for example I told him we had to get to sleep cause tomorrow is a busy day. He got so excited and said 'Santa's coming tonight again?' Uh, no bud, sorry. HA! He remembers! So how awesome would that be for him to find a fairy door in his room one day and get to tell him all about them!

So like I said I've been searching everywhere and I've found some awesome doors, however I can't see spending $30+ on a wooden door that's only big enough for a fairy to go through! So I think once we get back to MO in a few weeks I'm going to make my way to Hobby Lobby and get some dollhouse parts and make my own. Here are some doors I've found though, they're too freakin cute!

aren't they adorable!!!! I can't wait to get started and help spread the magic! Maybe one day we'll get to visit Ann Arbor!

Milspouse Friday Fill-in

1)What is your favorite MilSpouse blog (not including Wife of a Sailor who we all love, or your own)?

I have some friends that are fellow bloggers/ military wives however if I had to pick a favorite it would be a home decorater blog.

2)What are your favorite perks about your s/o being deployed (we all know there are perks)?

I finally get to have 'me' time. I get a job and can make some extra money, but I get to have adult conversations and some good quality alone time.... the money is also nice too!

3)How long did you date your before getting engaged? Married?

The Mr and I dated since 2001 so when we got engaged we had been together 5 years and we got married two months later. We got engaged September 2006 and married November 2006.

4)What do you think your would do if s/he wasn’t in the military?

I don't really give this much thought because if the Mr didn't join the Navy I really don't think we would be together now. I mean maybe, but I doubt it. If Mr wouldn't have joined more than likely he would still be back home riding his bike and hanging out with his friends. Which I like them, but they're going no where. It's hard to go anywhere back in that town though.

5)If you could talk to the Secretary of (fill in your appropriate branch) what is one suggestion you would like to bring to their attention in order to improve the lives of military families?

To think about the families, less crap and more money saving ideas!

WILW

What I'm loving today (Wednesday):
I am loving our new puppy Tater...even though he's not quite housebroken and it makes it hard to potty train him when we're not suppose to have dogs here. eep. oh well we've only got 3 weeks left.
I am loving going through my closets and cleaning/packing everything up.
I am loving that we stopped at Chilis on the way home from petco tonight to get a brownie sundae!
I am loving that here in about 10 mins I'm going to be eating that brownie sundae and watching 'Knight and Day' with my hubby.
I am loving that I get to see some friends tomorrow.
I am loving that hopefully come 3 weeks I can finally destress over not having to pack anymore, load up anymore, plan our storage and housing anymore.
okay on to that brownie sundae. g'nite everyone.

All you need is love Challenge Day 7 & 8

Day 7
I {LOVE} when I feel beautiful/sexy/pretty. This happens when I...
okay, well this doesn't happen all the time for me. rarely. I mean I know I'm a cute girl, but with 2 kids and usually never leaving the house most days except the playgrounds I don't usually feel sexy. I'm trying to find my sexy again though, maybe one of these days it'll turn up somewhere.
however I feel pretty when I am driving in the car with the windows rolled down, alone, jamming to my country music. I've got the wind blowing and I can sing as loud and off key as I want.
Day 8
Whether in love or out, on Valentine's Day I {LOVE} too...
We really don't do anything too special for Vday. Sometimes we do flowers, candy, and cards, but usually just a 'Happy Valentines Day' works for me. I like to just spend time with my family.
