A look into my San Diego cottage home

Well hello, come on in....

So after our tax return money I have almost accomplished our living room! I will post pictures soon! I think I'm going to add a rug, and the Mr is in the process of building our new TV stand. I'm going to be buying 2 bookcases to go on the side of it to make an 'entertainment center' that will be detachable. I want to paint the bookcases a blue to help blend in the color a bit more. Think that will be too drastic? So what do you think??

new pillows, new coffee table ($60 Craiglist!!-score) and new curtains. I went with the blue. The curtains are a striped blue. (navy, light blue, and white) The pillows are a gray, blue polka dot, and a floral/bird thingy, and I pulled a white throw out of the closet and threw that on the back of the couch. Oh oh oh, almost forgot, let me show you my new lamps.
you like eh? I took the old lamps that were there and covered them in burlap from Joanns and than added a dark blue ribbon around the tops and bottoms. Gives off more of a yellow glow so it feels more homey.

okay next up...the kitchen/dining room.

luuuuuhhhhvvveee my new little rack/holder from Ikea...$4! good deal, huh! I couldn't pass that up, especially since I had been eyeing in in a magazine for a few weeks. I hung a fake plant and some utensils in a metal basket. I really love Ikea (did I mention thats where I got all my pillows and curtains from?! I DID!)

and my dining room. Shout out to my momma, love my new Miche bag! Everyone back in Jackson if you love purses, but hate switching them up give my mom a call to host your own party & snag all the goods!

and on down the hall we have the mast bedroom. It is almost complete. I have to finish painting the dressers, mine and the Mr's, paint the bed, and the 2 nightstands. I have to get an 11x14 picture frame also to hang above the Mr's dresser. I fell in love with one at Michaels, but it was $40 and I just couldn't drop that on one picture frame. So i'm still on the hunt.

On down the hall is our Master bedroom. I am almost done with it! All I have left is to paint the dressers, the bed, and the 2 nightstands.

This is where the magic happens ;)

this is the mirror I painted and than sanded down by hand to give it that antique-y look.

You can't really tell from here, but the lamps are filled with San Diego sand and seashells the Mr and I have collected over the years.

I painted the shelves and wrapped the 'J' & 'E' wooden letters in brown yarn

Here is missy's room

and Tyler's room

and that is all for the H family household. Thanks for stopping by and touring my home. Now to begin packing everything up, we move in 1 month!
